Tamara is a recovering television and newspaper journalist as well as a speaker and publisher. Born and raised in the Midwest, she earned a journalism degree from Kansas State University and soon after began working in television and newspaper newsrooms, covering everything from local school board meetings and barbecue competitions to the Oklahoma City Bombing and presidential elections. She left the journalism world in 2010 to start a small Christian publishing company. She is the coordinating editor of Abba’s Gift and Abba’s Heart.

Tamara has been married to her high school sweetheart, Shad, for more than 30 years. They live in an almost empty nest with the youngest of their four children. They also have three dogs and a grumpy cat ironically named Grace. Tamara loves her husband and kids dearly, but she also loves hot chocolate, camping, and reading anything she can get her hands on.

DeeDee Lake is a professional speaker, author, blogger, columnist, Christian life coach, MOPS mentor mom, and storyteller. She is passionate about relationships and loves connecting with authors. She is also the author of Next Step: You’ve accepted Jesus, now what? DeeDee grew up a Navy brat, mostly in Spain and Florida. She jumped ship and married an Army pilot. They’ve been married thirty-five years, adopted two children and lives in Colorado. She has three grandkids, a crazy Golden Doodle named Bella, and Mitzy a tiny dog who doesn’t know she is a dog.
